Haifa Chemicals -ammonia tank

In October 2022, Haifa Chemicals, in collaboration with the international company SAIPEM, joined us in a remarkable national project on the Rotem Plain in Dimona. This project includes the design and construction of a world-unique technological plant for the production and storage of ammonia in a dedicated environment. Our company carries the full responsibility for the construction, characterized by numerous phases and a variety of different tasks—all required to meet tight schedules and European standards for safety and performance. We began by constructing waste treatment channels, concrete works, and casting special floors to establish the bases for the pumps. Subsequently, we manufactured and assembled the steel structure, characterized by elements of various sizes and designed to withstand earthquakes. We continued with the construction of a process chemical pipeline made from several types (stainless steel, steel, copper, etc.) and built the walls of the ammonia tank. These tasks were performed under strict quality control by a management and supervision company appointed by the work client: Adir Projects. The project is also characterized by economic goals totaling approximately 100 million shekels, within a performance framework of 24 months, expected to conclude in May 2024. Upon the project’s completion and our uncompromising adherence to its challenges and goals, the plant will become an innovative source for ammonia production, introducing breakthrough technology both nationally and globally.
